We finally have an affordable  filter we can recommend!!  Having a SMALL and mighty filter is really great.  One of the best reasons it is good to be small is that the water is not sitting in the plastic filter for long.  This water that stays in the filter will pass through quickly and you can wait for the fresh flow of water to come through.

These filters can also be installed in the bathroom as well on the cold water line for clean water when you brush your teeth and wash your face and hands.  It is not recommended to use with your  main kitchen faucet, due to the need to wash dishes and such and the tubing for your main kitchen faucet is usually 3/8″ or 1/2″ and this is only 1/4″ on both ends.  It works best in conjunction with a drinking water faucet.  In the bathroom, you would need to get the correct fittings to make it adapt to the faucet fittings.  This works out in the bathroom sink setting since you are not running the water as much as in a kitchen, usually.

Faucet not included. Faucets from Amazon, Home Depot or Lowes or your local plumbing supply store with 1/4 tube quick connects are compatible. We recommend installing the system with the drinking water faucet of your choice to the SIDE of your main kitchen faucet.

Filter Longevity… a Personal Choice
The Best Water Filter Ever meets or exceeds the standards for NSF 42 and NSF 53. It has also been tested by independent labs. Even so, there is no single test to predict how long the filter will last in your home with your specific source water.
The manufacturer recommends changing the filter every 6 months and provides a 1 year warranty from the date of purchase that covers manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship. If you are looking for the highest standard in toxin removal to match the results shown by the independent laboratories, then changing your filter every 6 months is the way to go.
If you would rather change your filter based on something other than time, then taste is a good indicator. When you install your filter you are likely to notice how much you enjoy the taste. When this diminishes, it is a good indicator that it is time to replace your filter.
If you’d like a more scientific way to measure for the longevity of your filter, you may want to purchase home testing equipment. An easy and inexpensive option is chlorine reagent drops.
