FAQS
What size bottles do you offer and how much do they weigh empty and full?
How to Make Blue Solar Water?
Where Are The Bottles Made?
What Type Of Etching Process Do You Use?
How Does Sandblasting Differ From Acid-Etching And Machine Etched Bottles?
With sandblasting we can achieve a deeper etch which has a remarkably pleasing textile feel, whereas acid-etching only changes the surface texture and the bottle remains smooth. Machine-etched bottles can be quite nice, but we have found that they cannot match the depth and artistry of the hand sandblasting.
In addition, acid etching is non-environmentally friendly, whereas the sandblasting medium is alumunium oxide, which is totally inert.
Are These Bottles Painted Glass Or Real Blue Glass?
What Is The Cap Made Of?
The new 2Liter bottles and the Genie bottles have Solid Wood Acacia Caps. They have been treated with FDA Approved finish to protect from Water. Inside the 2Liter caps is currently a foam plastic liner, but will be replaced with Natural Rubber liner as soon as possible. We will be able to mail out replacement gaskets once they are available. The Genie Bottle caps have an LDPE cone linere, which is considered safe. Leak-proof was the main goal when seeking the correct cap to work with these bottles originally. Ideally keep your bottle vertical and the liquid from touching the cap liner.
