Refund policy

If for any reasonable reason, you are not satisfied with your purchase after placing the order or after receiving your order, we accept cancellations within 14 days of receiving the order.   Be sure to keep all packing material if you are unsure if you want to keep the order.  This policy is for USA orders only.  International Returns will be handled on a case by case basis.  Returns are  based on the following criteria:

For Refunds before your items have shipped:  Please call or write as soon as you decide to cancel your order.  Please provide the reason for your cancellation.  In some instances, we may need to charge you the finance fee that is incurred with each online purchase.   This is usually about 3.3% of the final purchase price.  We are working with a New Fulfillment team that likes to ship out ASAP when they get the order, so you need to be very quick on the 5 Liter, 2 Liter, 1 Liter and 500ml bottles as well as the Upcycled Cups.   If you call, please note that we are in Hawaii, so it is helpful if you time your call to come in after 8:00am Hawaii Time Zone please.

IMPORTANT INFO:  Please note that when your order is refunded, it will be in PENDING REFUND STATUS for minimum 24 hours.   The only kind of proof we can provide immediately is a screenshot that says your refund is PENDING.   Please do not take the measures to submit any kind of claim to your credit card, as this causes undue complications and is a waste of everyone's time. The proof of your refund will normally show up within 24 hours of the refunded action performed by Blue Bottle Love. At that time, you will receive an email notating the refund.  The actual refund to your credit card could take up to 10 days.  

For Refunds after your items have been shipped: You are responsible for the return shipping costs.  If the package is shipped by USPS mail, then you can put return to sender on the package.  If the package is shipped by Fed Ex or UPS, definitely do NOT go through the procedure of returning the package on your own via the Fed Ex or UPS return methods, unless you prepay the charges.   Please contact us right away if you would like to return your unused bottle or other item purchased at BlueBottleLove.com.  Ideally we will send you a return shipping label, which we will deduct off of your refund.   

IMPORTANT INFORMATION regarding Restocking Fee:   There will be a 30% restocking fee if your bottle shows any signs of being used...such as being returned with  moisture from  Water or other liquid inside.  We have no way of knowing if you have taken a sip from the bottle,  so we will not be able to resell the returned bottle if you have used it.   

RETURN USING ORIGINAL PACKAGING: It is also required that you return the bottles in the original packing material and box that you received your item in, unless you are only returning a portion of a large order which arrived in a large box.  Please contact us in this case, so we can guide you. 

If you choose to return the items in different packaging and without the Special Corrugated Sleeves they arrived in, then we will also deduct an extra 6% from your refund.   We are unable to reuse boxes that lists other brands or Amazon on the boxes.  Please keep your packaging until you are sure you want to keep the Bottles. 

IF your package arrived via Fed Ex, then those boxes are specially suited for a special  shipping rate.  If your substitute box  is outside these measurements, then the shipping price is doubled by Fed Ex , and those return shipping charges will be passed along to you, as you did not keep or reuse the original packaging.  One Side of the box must be 5" or less  and the whole package must be under 600 Cubic inches if you are returning 1 or 2 bottles only.  Please take the time to contact us if you have any issues you are not sure how to navigate, and we are happy to guide you for the most successful return experience possible...at the lowest cost for return shipping.  

If there is a defect or flaw in the item you receive: Of course we will cover the return costs.  You have up to 14 days to initiate the return from when you received the package.  If the bottle seems to have been used upon return inspection, then there will be a restocking fee, as we can no longer sell this item to another online customer.   Refunds will be submitted back to the original way you paid online, after the item has been received back to the home office.  We will also offer you the option to purchase that item at a significant discount rather than returning it, in addition to sending out a perfect one!

If you have provided a wrong address on your order:  You will be responsible for paying for any misdirected packaging fees.  Please be aware, this fee can be over $20, so please check the address you entered  for accuracy. Omitting your Apt or Suite Number can cause the carriers to return the package without even attempting delivery.  Please remember to include, even if you think your delivery person knows who you are etc.  Sometimes there are substitute or new drivers, and the package will be returned.
